Engraved Keyrings
Engraving is an awesome way to create a personalised keyring for yourself or as a gift for a friend or loved one. However there are a few things to consider when picking this option.
Top Engraving Tips
- For a start, remember that getting the keyring engraved will add to the cost. Not much but if money is tight you will want to think about what letters you want to use carefully. Many engravers will charge by the character so you will need to think about what you want written into your keyring. If your friends name is Zebedde Mangle-Wurzle then you might want to think about getting the initials graved on their own. This will still give you a personalised keyring at the end of it all!
- Engraving may take some additional time to complete. Remember to check carefully with your supplier before commiting to an order to ensure that you will get your new keyring in time. You will not want to be left waiting by the post box hoping it arrives just in time for when you really need it!
- If you get your keyring engraved you will not be able to sell it on afterwards. This won’t be a problem if you order a cheap one but if you decide to splash out on an expensive silver or gold personalised keyring then you will limit yourself to who you can sell it on to. Perhaps not a problem if you get it engraved with “Dad”!
- When ordering your personalised keyring online ensure that you are very careful when typing out the letters that you want to get engraved. It is very likely the retailer will not want to take back your order if it turns out you ordered the wrong letters and they carried out the instruction incorrectly. They will engrave whatever it is you request onto your blank keyring so don’t expect them to correct any spelling mistakes, afterall how were they supposed to know you wanted Jon and not John!
A little bit of care and intention will ensure your perssonalised keyring is engraved correctly – no worries!
